Built in 1880, Fountain Terrace has been lovingly restored to its former glory by Penny and Heikki Minkkinen.

Fountain Terrace is conveniently situated on a beautiful tree-lined avenue just moments from the sea.  Access to the city is easy with several convenient tram routes.

An indulgent breakfast is served at a lovely refectory table in the drawing room, where dappled sunlight shines through gently flowing curtains.

Fountain Terrace's proximity to the world famous restaurants of Fitzroy and Acland Streets and the St.Kilda esplanade with its Sunday market, places it perfectly for visitors to Melbourne looking for an indulgent place to stay.

Fountain Terrace has 7 beautiful rooms all with private ensuite facilities. Each room has been individually designer decorated to transport you into a world of luxury.

Two of our rooms have luxury appointments such as King Size beds ideal for honeymooners, a romantic weekend or just an excuse for self-indulgence.

All rooms have television, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, heat lamps in ensuites, heating and air-conditioning. Fountain Terrace is a non smoking building.

The Apartment

The apartment has a great little kitchen, sitting room, balcony, bathroom, bedroom with king/twin bed and study. Situated at the back of the courtyard there is no traffic noise from Fitzroy Street. Cable, internet, complimentary local call telephone, smart contemporary, chic furniture in warm red and earthy chocolate brown. Balcony with table setting overlooks the central courtyard. The apartment is non smoking so smokers please use the balcony.

Albert Park Lake & Golf Course

The Par 72 course runs alongside the racetrack for the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and is a most picturesque location. There isn't a better public access golf course in Melbourne.. Albert Park's impressive landscape is dominated by mature exotic trees, and boasts some of the finest Elms in the state of Victoria. Recent extensions to the course have resulted in the planting of some 1600 additional trees of varying species.

Elsternwick Golf Course

There are a good mixture of holes on Elsternwick Golf Course, from the shortest of short par 3’s, like the 134m 2nd, to the longest hole, the 320m 9th. The par is only 31, so if you’ve ever wanted a chance to break 30 and brag to your mates – Elsternwick is the place. For longer hitters, probably 6 of the 9 holes are reachable from the tee, setting up regular birdie and eagle chances if accurate. For those not fortunate to be blessed with a power game, the surrounds and the fairways are well grassed thanks to an irrigation system
