Tranquility Base Bed and Breakfast is a large, modern home located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Ancaster, with walking and bike trails near the Bruce trail, and three high end restaurants nearby and great pubs in town.

We are in the former Town of Ancaster along with the neighboring Dundas along with three other municipalities became part of the City of Hamilton in 2005

Tranquility Base Bed and Breakfast is less than fifteen minutes to downtown Hamilton, Copps Coliseum, Hamilton Place, Dundurn Castle, Hamilton Royal Botanical Gardens

We cater to guests that come to the area of Ancaster, Dundas, and Hamilton for Weddings and visiting family, and is ideally located for vacation travelers who want a unique experience.

Tranquility Base Bed and Breakfast offers exceptional service and comfortable beds in every bedroom. We want our guests feeling relaxed and refreshed during their stay with us whether being here for pleasure or business.

We are also ten minutes from Hamilton International Airport.one hour to the bright lights of Toronto, Niagara Falls, Kitchener and the American Border.

We offer a choice of three rooms :

King Room
Large ensuite room with great view. Beds can be optionally parted to form two separate beds.

Queen Room
Beautiful spacious room with antique furniture. Washroom is shared with the double room, but is ensuite if double room is vacant.

Double Room
Classic room with beautiful antique furniture. Includes a decorative doll collection. Washroom is shared with the Queen bedroom when occupied.

Our family room and extensive library of light reading are available to our guests. The coffee pot is usually on and our full farm breakfasts are limited only by your diet or your imagination. Dinners are available upon request. Please prearrange the dinner.

The 36-hole "Hamilton Golf & C.C. Ltd" course at the Hamilton Golf & Country Club Ltd facility in Ancaster, Ontario features all the hallmarks of Ontario golf. Hamilton Golf & C.C. Ltd golf course opened in 1914. John M Mickle manages the course as the General Manager.

Knollwood Golf Club
Knollwood Golf and Country Club was founded in 1970 by Jack Harris, one of the most respected golf course superintendents in Canadian history. The Old Course at Knollwood opened for play and over the years grew to become an 18 hole experience in a style respecting the heritage of Ontario’s historic courses.   Keeping to the philosophy of working with the land, the New Course holds stunning topographical vistas and elevated tee shots. Designed with a good challenge in mind, Jack made note of some of the more interesting golf greens he had played the world over and duplicated some of them at the New Course. Although the New Course is more of a challenge than the Old, it still plays well to golfers of all abilities.

MYSTIC GOLF CLUB, located in Ancaster is now open for public play. A daily fee facility, Mystic GC offers golfers 4 sets of tees, including the Griffin tees measuring 7,367 yards. Created on 300+ acres of beautiful, woodlots, wetlands, rolling hills and steep valleys, the Mystic GC completes what nature has provided. In addition to a world-class golf course, the Mystic GC offers the finest practice facility in Ontario. A 340-yard range with tee decks at both ends, two putting greens, a 85-yard, short-game hole with fairway and green side bunkers, a green with bunker for sand shots, and three, full-swing practice holes - a par 3, 4 and 5.
