A tradition of warmth and hospitality dating back to the early 19th century continues today at Crottys. The pub with its old mellowed woodwork, ornate tiled floors, pitch pine counter, original plate glass mirrors, shelves and walls filled with interesting and historical material is a delight to the eye.

Dating back to 1914, the pub is divided into five separate and distinct areas. One can enjoy "The Kitchen" with its original vice regal range  or make your way to the "Store" or "Tap" rooms or stay put in the public bars. For those who have never frequented a "Snug" before, you can relax in the privacy of a time gone by.

Crotty's roots are firmly established in the traditional music of Mrs Crotty and the vision of her husband, Miko, for creating this gem. Mindful of this heritage we have earned a great name for serving fine food and beverages, excellent guest accommodation and the best of Irish music.

Crotty's Pub in Kilrush, Co Clare, was named Ireland's leading Tourist Bar at the Licensing World Bar Awards.

Chosen by an expert industry panel, Crotty's Pub emerged from hundreds of entries in the Licensing World Bar Awards to claim the coveted Fáilte Ireland Tourist Bar Award 2009 at a gala banquet in The Four Seasons Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Since launching our evening menu earlier this year we have established a reputation for excellent food and service. Under the direction of award winning chef, Noel Brennan, dishes such as fish cakes, Bangers and Mash, RIb eye steak are prepared and served from Tuesday through Saturday nights. Crotty's B&B features 5 ensuite bedrooms, with bathroom or shower. Each bedroom has been individually decorated with fine fabrics and beautiful antique furniture.
