Neidín House is a superbly appointed, purpose built guesthouse with its own car park, spacious and bright bedrooms, all en suite, central heating and satellite TV.

It is only a 2 minute walk from the town centre, and overlooks Kenmare's magnificient 18-hole golf course. Neidín is the Gaelic name for Kenmare, meaning "little nest"

Kenmare (Irish: An Neidín) is a small town (pop. 1844 - CSO 2002) in the south of County Kerry, Ireland . The Irish name for the town 'An Neidín' translates into English as 'The Little Nest'. The name Kenmare is the anglicised form of Ceann Mhara "head of the sea", which refers to the furthest point inland reached by the sea.

Kenmare is located at the head of Kenmare Bay sometimes called the Kenmare River (An Ribhéar) where the Roughty River (An Ruachtach) flows into the sea, and at the junction of the Iveragh Peninsula and the Beara Peninsula. The traditional Irish name of the bay was Inbhear Scéine from the celtic inver, which is recorded in the 11th Century narrative Lebor Gabala Erenn as the arrival point of themythological Irish ancestor Partolon.

This 18 hole, par-72 world-class, golf course nestles between the towering majesty of the MacGillycuddy Reeks and the Caha mountains and enjoys an unspoiled view of one of the most panoramic scenes to be found on any golf course in Ireland.
