The Quinta is situated on the Sintra Coast above the beach with views of the sea, and the Sintra mountains with the magical Pena Palace. The area is within a UNESCO world heritage natural park.

Quinta Beira-Mar is a spacious and light eight bedroom house offering ensuite and double rooms with balconies overlooking the sea or mountains. There are extensive gardens with palm trees and abundant shrubs and flowers, offering a tranquil retreat in which to relax, rest and enjoy the sunshine. Fruit trees and organic vegetables are grown and a terrace provides shade and a quiet place to eat breakfast or watch the sunset.

Outside there is the garden, swimming pool, and seating on the terrace, with several places to eat outside.

There is an outdoor bbq area, perfect for cooking fresh sardines.

We offer wireless internet access and the Quinta is pet friendly. Jeremy and Susanna who run the house like to offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and are always available to help with any needs

There are various shared areas in the house as well as the garden for your enjoyment.

Inside the house there is a large dinning area and sitting room, with a television, DVD player and comfortable chairs.

The Quinta is within walking distance of three white sandy beaches, popular with surfers and families. Praia Grande hosts surfing championships. There are also many more beautiful beaches locally to visit by car and for windsurfers there is Guincho beach, (fifteen minutes away). There are also two local swimming pools within walking distance, with diving boards and slides, very popular with families.

Cascais and Estoril (with the famous Estoril casino) are also within half an hours drive. Activities nearby include golf for example Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Beloura near Sintra and Clube de Campo at Belas, north of the Royal Palace at Queluz. Also on offer are horse-riding, artists workshops, yoga, water sports, walking, fishing, sailing, and tennis.

We have a special link with a local classical equitation school, offering lessons and week long clinics in classical dressage on Lusitano Horses. Special rates and transport can be organised if booking through us

With its excellent variety of holes, the course is a pleasure to play, whatever one's handicap level. It demands both skill and tacticall play and is acknowleged both locally and internationally as one of Portugal's best constructed layouts. Many outstanding holes can easily be remembered even after playing the course only once.

Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Golf Club
Set amongst pine woods and reforested dunes, in an area of great natural beauty, Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Golfe lies within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Encompassing three distinct landscape forms --umbrella pine forests, dunes, and open, coastal transition areas, the course takes advantage of all three zones.

This Robert Trent Jones designed course is set in a private estate of 110 hectares. It was the 1988 host of the Quinta da Marinha Ladies Masters (European Professional's Women's Circuit) and in 2002 was host to the Estoril Open (PGA Tour Event). It is wooded with pine trees, has flat terrain, many bunkers and a number of lakes.

Penha Longa Golf Resort

The Atlantic Course is an 18-hole, par 72, championship course of 6,290 meters, offering a challenging course with breathtaking views over the ocean with Estoril and Cascais to the South and the Sintra hills to the North. The Monastery Course is a nine-hole, par 35 course of 2,588 meters. This course spreads around the historical heart of the resort and is the perfect complement to The Atlantic Course

Quinta da Beloura Golf Club 18 holes 5878 metres Par 73

This is the Estoril Coast's newest course and the flat terrain makes this an enjoyable and not exhausting course. Designed by Rocky Roquemore, there are 6 lakes and 40,000 trees, so accuracy is key here. Excellent mountain views. Practice range, tuition.

The Estoril Golf Course is located in one of Europe's oldest established tourist resorts.
