Castle Stuart Golf Club

Castle Stuart Golf Links, designed by Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse, is a championship links golf course overlooking not only the Moray Firth, but also landmarks synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle (Chanonry Lighthouse and Kessock bridge are perhaps the most notable).

 

Inverness Golf Club - an 18 hole, 69 par, parkland golf course - described by golfing writer and expert Allan Ferguson as one of Scotland’s best courses.

 

Loch Ness Golf Course (Fairways) - Fairways is one of the few facilities in Scotland with a full-size practice area maintained, like the rest of the course, in superb condition. Inverness’s newest 18 hole course.

 

Torvean Golf Club - a well maintained, 18 hole, parkland golf course, located on the outskirts of Inverness.

 

Cawdor Castle

The course covers 25 acres of mature parkland. Its 1429 yards (par 32) offer a variety of challenges that will amuse the seasoned player and welcome the beginner. The course record is 27.  

 

Nairn Dunbar - this world famous championship links course is just 16 miles from Inverness. The highly rated course represents a formidable challenge with its gorse and whin lined fairways.

 

Nairn Golf Club

Nestling on the shores of the Moray Firth this traditional Scottish links course was created from a Highland wilderness of gorse and heather, and tests the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.

 

Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

Course architect James Braid's remarkable achievement in designing 18 challenging holes within the narrow Chanonry peninsula is instantly obvious and admired by first-time visitors. Modern-day golf writers enthuse over the course with accolades such as 'a gem of a course by the sea' - 'the smallest but perhaps the brightest jewel in the Highlands' golfing crown'.

 

Muir of Ord Golf Club - 14 miles from Inverness. Muir of Ord is a typical heathland/moorland course which has steadily improved and lengthened throughout the years.
