Villa Las Colinas El Rosario Spacious, private, quiet, secure, hi-tech, Wifi; adjoining golf; sea views; maid Villa Las Colinas was constructed for us in the early years of the 21st century, and sleeps 10-14 in considerable luxury.

Beautifully located with stunning seaside views, some 5 minutes from beach, 3 minutes from local shops and restaurants (no need to go on the coastal highway). Visit the shops, restaurants and bars of nearby Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona 45+ golf courses within 45 minutes drive, including Valderrama, Sotogrande, Las Brisas and adjoining Marbella Golf The El Casco tennis club is only some 3 minutes away.

The villa was built, to relatively exacting standards, by German contractors and includes a blend of high level finishes imported from Germany, the best of Spanish & Portuguese marble, and evocatively Andalusian built-in furniture. The interior design features several Indian artefacts, as well as art, photography and two pianos (a Bösendorfer grand and a Yamaha digital). The villa is surrounded by elegant gardens.

Las Colinas forms part of a secluded 'urbanización' (residential community) within the quiet, residential village of El Rosario, three miles east of the central area of Marbella, and is close to all the local beaches (some of the best on the Costa del Sol), tennis, water-sports, and much golf. El Rosario has its own shops, ancillary services and restaurants without the need to travel on the busy coastal highway, yet lies within a short drive of Puerto Banús and other popular destinations.

The Villa built on three levels the property comprises of:

Entrance & Ground Floor: Hall (with Yamaha Clavinova digital piano), leading to guest cloakroom, snug/TV room with surround-sound 32” SAT TV & DVD, leading into a very large, open plan, airy living room/dining area with Bösendorfer grand piano, open fireplace, sofas, 32” TV and sliding patio doors opening onto the terraces, gardens pergolas and pool area. The spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with double door American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, etc. is a chef’s dream! There are also superb views. In-house catering may be arranged, if you prefer.

First Floor: A bright and large landing (with a golf library, chess corner and desk with computer printer) leads off to four comfortable suites, all with luxuriously designed marble bath/walk-in shower rooms. The Master & adjacent suite have sliding terrace doors which lead onto spacious balconies with amazing widespread sea and mountain views. The two other double bedrooms on this level (one with a balcony) also have views of the sea, hills and surrounding countryside. Three of these four bedrooms may be presented as either super-king double or twin rooms (with an extra bed possible in the Master Dressing Room); the other is a double.

Lower Level: Two more bedrooms (super-king double or twin, to your preference) share a spacious marble bathroom with walk-in shower and laundry facilities. One of these rooms is the largest bedroom in the villa and may be presented with two further single beds and also features a sofa and TV. The double garage may be accessed from this level.

Further facilities include: air-conditioning; under floor heating from solar panels; large terraces - providing al-fresco dining; 24 hour home security system and security cameras in ‘El Rosario’, with barriers, patrols & guards at night; daily maid service by arrangement.

Spectacular Jacuzzi and Garden: Jacuzzi hot tub (up to 40C) for up to 8 people, set on a secluded 25sqm rustic deck, with magnificent views through olives to Mediterranean, mountains and golf course. This is part of our wonderful garden.

Golf:  This villa is especially suited to golfers. You can walk to the 8th tee of Robert Trent Jones Snr's Marbella Golf in a couple of minutes or drive to its clubhouse (or adjoining Santa Clara's) in a few more. The rest of the coast from Valderrama & Sotogrande to Malaga overflows with courses to suit all players' needs. Santa Clara also features excellent practice facilities. The house is the Marbella base of NZ tour pro and course designer Greg Turner (one of the few to have beaten Tiger Woods), and is owned by the editor/photographer of the acclaimed Pocket Guide to Golf Courses: Spain & Portugal, which was written in the Blue Bedroom. A free copy of the book is given to every golfer staying at the house. We are extremely well connected within the Iberian golf world, and can arrange tailor-made golf or golf and culture holidays, from a self-catering basis right through to a tour hosted by Greg Turner or other golf playing/course design/photography professionals, as suits the requirements of the party.

Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior in the late 80’s and occupying one of the largest remaining green areas on the Costa del Sol, the 6.000 metre long 18-hole links course with a par of 72, has been imaginatively designed to respect the natural terrain and make the most of the spectacular Mediterranean backdrop.

Santa Clara Golf Club [a few minutes]

The golf course, designed by Enrique Canales Busquets, has been created with respect for the natural environment of indigenous wildlife and vegetation, providing a fantastic meeting place for golf enthusiasts. Along its eighteen holes, a par 71 of 5,878 meters, you will enjoy a stimulating and unforgettable round that will make you want to stay with us.

Santa Maria Golf Club

Santa Maria Golf and Country Club has come to occupy a well-earned place amongst the elite golf clubs in the Costa del Sol The 18-hole course offers players a challenging game with view of both the mountains and the Mediterranean.

Greenlife Golf

Greenlife Golf is a 9 hole par 3 course of 1.142m, it is situated in beautiful scenery, surrounded by natural vegetation with palm and oak trees.

Rio Real Golf Course

Golf here is a very pleasant experience, offering wonderful views, well established trees and much appreciated shade while the river intersects the course at various points. The dogleg 10th hole is a pretty par 4 leading to a spectacular 11th tee overlooking a green whose access lies across a ravine.

Cabopino Golf Club

Cabopino Golf Club is a scenic 5,170 metres long course and an interesting new addition to Costa del Sol golf. High handicappers will have to use all clubs in their bag and low handicappers will have to take risks if they want good results. The greens are large and in excellent condition
