Suites and Guest Rooms at Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn

The three suites and five guest rooms at Abbington Green are specially designed for your comfort and relaxation with the utmost attention to detail. The Inn's English theme is expressed wherever you look from American, English and European antique and reproduction furniture and rugs to photographs, prints and wall décor to Old World style custom-made draperies, canopies and bed linens. The British sense of high style and elegance are all around you.

Each suite in our Carriage House and each guest room in our Main House is furnished with comfortable seating; either wing chairs, club chairs or loveseat. Each room also has a writing table or desk. You will also find books, prints and information relating to British gardens, history and architecture in every room.

Six rooms and suites have king size beds. Each suite and king size room also has a working fireplace: three of those are original mantels with quarter-sawn oak fire surrounds decorated with original tiles. Two guest rooms have queen size four-poster beds.

All guest rooms have private baths. Rooms in the Main House have attractive baths with large pedestal sink and either generous sized shower or tub and shower combinations. The three suites have luxurious baths that include whirlpool tub and shower combination. Color-coordinated, thick towels and bath sheet, soft bath rugs and tub mats, and custom amenity toiletries including hand lotion and lip balm are provided for you in each bath.

All rooms have seasonal air conditioning or central air conditioning. Suites have refrigerator or full kitchen.

The Gardens at Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn

The gardens at Abbington Green surround the house as a series of authentic English garden rooms, each with a different theme. Created by the Innkeeper from 1995-1997, they were her first attempt at garden design. In 1997, the Innkeeper received the award for Best New Gardens in the County. It's arguably the most competitive category of the competition, since many new residents of the Asheville area arrive with already vast experience in gardening.

It is our hope that as you wander the property, you will feel as if time has gone backwards, and you might be standing in a series of very old gardens. It is also our hope that you will take time to share your garden knowledge and experience with other guests and with the Innkeeper. After all, shared interest in gardens and plants create a wonderful common bond between people.

For Valerie, The Innkeeper, preparing food is a creative process…that also gives pleasure to others every day. For over a decade she has greeted her guests each day with a smile and a lovely breakfast. Come and taste our custom ground coffee, English tea and candlelit breakfasts served at 9 am every day on china and crystal in the Dining Room.
